Man and Nature

By Andrew_Hurley
Our camera club (Wallasey Amateur Photographic Society) is holding a Night Time/Twilight competition (judging is tonight!) so I spent from late September to December taking photos after sunset. I visited numerous places, Conway, Caernarvon, Buxton, Blackpool, Jodrell Bank, Ruthin, Liverpool and even Lincoln to get the "perfect" twilight images for the competition.

This was one of the images that couldn't make it into my final selection of 4 prints as I agreed that my friend Dave Herries should enter his version instead. It means I can use it next season in competitions.

This was one of my favourite images and I would really like to use it in the twilight competition but there is no point putting two identical images in the same competition. The L & CPU judge would have a field day!

This is the first time I have ever photographed Jodrell Bank and I am more than please with the final result.

I hope you enjoy looking at it. All comments and votes very gratefully received.

Thanks for looking once again.

My wife Glynnis & I often take very similar shots but she gets a better exposure than me so gets to enter hers in our clubs competitions ( York Photography Society )

Lovely colours and great caption. I have to agree with Tony, I think the vapour trail is distracting and personally I would have cloned it out. Good luck with the competition.

Hi Andy,
another cracker, but I can hear the judge saying there is a fight for attention going on between the tree and the dish, if you want an idea send Ken Clarke a get well e.card with it,
Steve
