Mandarin Drake

By Glostopcat
Seeing as it is belting it down with rain again in Gloucestershire this morning, I thought it rather apt that I uploaded a duck. This is a handsome mandarin drake I saw on the stream close to the picnic area at WWT Slimbridge in Gloucestershire on my last visit back in April. One of my Uncle Adie's epzer "Tomcat" favourite subjects is the Great British weather, seeing as it is a frivolous Friday I thought it would be a bit of fun if we counted how many times he mentions it in his posts from this morning up until midnight!Wink At the end of the day or first thing tomorrow morning I shall reveal the number of mentions I manage to find on here and any other interesting statistics or memorable quotes he makes, I trust you will not disappoint us Mr Tomcat!WinkGrin If anyone spots any classic Tomcat quotes or rants in the galleries or forums feel free to post any gems you find on here!Wink

Someone once threw a mandarin orange at my head. Someone else yelled, "Duck!", but I wasn't quick enough. Had to see the doctor but he turned out to be a right quack. Slapped me with a big bill, though. Bah.

Incredible colours and fine capture here, Ed.

Glad to be 40 on this one Ed', I remember being 40, and wondering how I ever managed to get there? Goodness knows how by some quirk of Fate, I got to 63 ???

Many thanks for all your comments and clicks folks, they are much appreciated. Nothing much from the Tomcat tonight regarding the weather, i spoke to him earlier and he is so cheesed off with it that he has almost lost the will to live and can't be bothered to mention it anymore! So only one mention on Carol G's upload, Ed
