Its a nice image, ans the description is lovely.
Try a composition thats not central, and see what happens. The darker reflections can be better if closer to black.
The camera will typically show quite a bit of noise at this ISO, but you can reduce it with noise reduction programme.
Ive uploaded a mod to show what I mean.

My feeling is the same as Willie's: but I've moved things a different way to make the leaf less central.
I also used the Levels slider to darken the middle tones a bit.
Is the date of taking the picture accurate? If so, how are your more recent pictures looking?

My apologies ...but I'm still confused about modification images....where do I find them?....
