Excellent! Lovely detail from that long exposure but you still managed to isolate it from the BG

Several comments regarding the 1/2 sec shutter speed. Answer. If you go after butterflies-early morning or mid evening they are torpid and dont move. If there is no breeze 1/2 sec + is no problem. If there is a breeze join a couple of clothes pegs and use a car aerial or rigid stick as a plant support. Clip one peg on the stem the other to the support. Easy Peasy.

Lovely sharp image. I was chuffed to see my first Marbled White yesterday. Got a couple of images but the background is too cluttered on mine. This is isolated nicely.
