Margam Castle

By geoffrey baker
I was on a walk with my wife, had my camera with me but no tripod, so had to kneel down and hope for the best.
The sun broke through and the Castle looked great against those stormy clouds so I had to go for it.
f8, 1/125th sec, 10mm, ISO 100.

I'm adding a variation where I added a different sky but after all that work I still prefer this original doh!, ain't it always the case lol.

I prefer the stormy sky too; It fits the mood. Excellent compostion; right down to the shadow which nicely breaks up the expanse of grass in the f/g.

Well done,

Good use of that wall in the fg and a wonderful view of the castle, excellent mood created by that sky too!

Ooops, forgot to comment, I like V1 best, but I understand trying the different sky, I also have to say that your PS skills are superb, you really cannot see the join.
Hope you don't mind I did a mod just to keep my hand in really.

Thanks

Thanks Jon, I like your mod.
You know what I had in mind for this photo but didn't know how to do it?, well I wanted to make it look really dramatic, like a haunted castle on a dark stormy night, I reckon it would have looked great, maybe one day eh? Wink
Geoff.
