And now for something completely different! A quickie break from Devon holiday images.
We had a model worknight at our Camera Club this last Monday evening, working with professional model Marie-Jean. Not exactly my forte, and using different lighting techniques didn't help. Rather than the usual studio flash, we had LED studio lights which, like tungsten lights were illuminated all of the time, except these being cool, didn't cook the model! It still meant upping the ISO and setting a wider aperture, yet still we were working at slow shutter speeds.
This is a small selection of my more successful attempts. Converting to mono worked well, as apart from skin tones, the images are mostly mono anyway, but have included the original colour versions.
Many thanks to
Dave (HobbitDave) for his User Award on my previous upload
National Marine Aquarium , most appreciated 🏆👍
Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in PortraitPro 12, with mono conversions in Nik Collection's Silver Efex Pro 2, and both in Photoshop Elements 14.
Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 👍
