Marsh Fritillary

By Glostopcat
A rare marsh fritillary butterfly feeding on a dandelion at Strawberry Banks nature reserve in Chalford near Stroud, Glos. This shot was taken last May when this species had a bumper year, sadly I do not think they have done so well this time. I will endeavour to catch up with what you've all been up to over the last week or so now that i've a few days holiday. I hope the clicks will fly in for this one!Wink

I think the flower dominates this image
but the addition of the fly on the butterfly is terrific.

You are amazing Ed, to capture not only a butterfly, but to have a fly sitting on it, just fantastic!
I'm giving this my UA, though it, in fact, is for all of your wonderful work I've had the pleasure of viewing and commenting on tonight!
