A very good set Allan, with some reservations.
Of the B&W versions the lead has more immediate appeal, the strong foreground blends beautifully into the horizonless distance and the sky; there is a real cold misty morning feel here. Perhaps some more contrast needed around the tree with the perching bird to give a stronger focal point.
V1 I like too. There is lots to see with the ducks on the river and the more gentle recession leading to the bend in the river and then to the mist covered hills just visible behind. but it lacks a full black, so I'd suggest deepening the blacks in levels which again would bring out that lovely tree on the left third (and its bird) and give a stronger focal point.
The colour version is nice too but has a blue cast so needs a tweak to the white balance to lose that ans maybe just a bit more black on the levels adjustment.
Just my thoughts on an excellent landscape set.

Thank you for the detailed comment, James; plenty of food for thought there. I do take the point about the black, especially in the versions, although it was a balancing act between that punch and not overpowering the feeling of the mist, which is why I preferred the lead. On reflection, I probably would put a bit more into the versions, especially to bring out that bird in the tree, as you point out. Thanks again for the comment.

Thelead image is very god and despite misty scenes being low in contrast I do think V1 needs a touch more which you could try by using Levels to get a small amoun of true b;ack and then lift the Shadows to brig back the greys to what they were before the Levels adjustment.
It's a good point about the colour being cold, but I like that here. That said it's quite cyan in nature so I'd try adjusting the hue slightly so it's more towards blue. But then a number of variants would work, I think.

Thank you for the detailed comment, Keith; it's most helpful.

I'd pretty much go along with the comments from James and Keith, but this really is very tasty as it stands, especially the main image.
Giving a moody misty subject like this a high contrast treatment was quite a bold move, but even though it loses that lovely distant view it still works.
I've done a couple of mods, just as alternative suggestions.
Certainly deserves an award.
