A TAD OVER FILTERED or compressed but very cute and I know how elusive they are

Mal uploaded one of these little fellas earlier.

A fantastic shot, wonderfully crisp and clear, not quite sure what Annette meant by 'A tad over filtered or compressed'

i stand corrected for not explaining!
here it is: in the plumage there should be fine lines.. as in tomcats shot.
https://www.ephotozine.com/user/tomcat-33515/gallery/photo/coppice-cdxxi-32569334/large
unfortunately, they have been lost..
either in jpeg compression (leave the compression at 99% when saving in PS or Lightroom) or the detail has been killed by an over-zealous noise removing program. I used to do it in Lr or such like NOT a good idea.
if you remove noise, mask the bird out and denoise only around it.
that's what i do.. but there are certainly folks around here who are better at it than i am.

A good capture Ali, but I know what Annette means about noise reduction - I did it once on an old image and it made the bird look like plastic - never again!!! It can sometimes take a little too much away from the shot GrinGrin Lou
