Sorry, but I'm going to have to go against the grain here Martyn.

I feel the tone-mapping is a little heavy and there are some issues with mapping halos around the Landrover that need addressing for me. I like the composition of the shot, but the tone mapping needs adjusting to pull this off.

Congrats on the HC though.

Hi Paul.

I can see what you mean re the halos, but I don't necessarily think this is all down to the processing, although with a little more work, I accept that it could perhaps have been dealt with.

I have added the original underexposed shot as a variant, and you can see that there are some quite bright areas surrounding the Landrover already.

Perhaps a little burning in these areas could have helped lessen the haloing.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment, and thanks for the congrats.

one of the best HDR images I´ve seen for a while! Brilliant work! NO halos seen here though....I have used Monaco Optix Pro colorimeter to calibrate my Eizo...have I done it properly, I´m not sure though ???

Congrats on the HC! Well deserved! IMO

Thanks Linda, Jouko, Cassie & Hendrik, appreciate you taking time out to comment.

Jouko, judging by the quality of your own images, I'd say your calibration is spot on, but as I said to Paul, I do know what he means.
