Mating Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor)

By teocali
A series of 6 images from our holiday on Cape Cod in May. The Tree Swallow (Tachycineta bicolor) is common, nesting in boxes and tree cavities, in open fields or over water. These nesting boxes were situated in the marshes near the Harwich Natural History Museum, Cape Cod.
I was a long way away so the detail isn't as good as I would wish, but I just felt that I was lucky to get these captures and wanted to share them with you. I feel that Mrs Tree Swallow is not looking too excited by the proceedings! - lol

Settings: F/7.1 1/800sec -1.33EV ISO100 AV@700mm tripod

Many thanks to those who voted for and commented on my Salad Days upload - very much appreciated as always Smile

I like the action sequence and there is one thing for sure if you think they were a long way away with your gear I would have no chance of getting these with mine. - gary
