Mc Way Falls

By dpenman
Captured at Mc Way Falls near Big Sur, CA. I know it's avery popular shot due to the "No access" to the beach and can only photograph these falls from a boardwalk. Once there, I found and liked the framing of the tree branches in the cloudless sky. I used a long exposer just to make my image a little different then most from here. Enjoy!

A nicd image. The presentation is OK on the wall, but you loose a lot of image space on a site like this.

Nice main image. I would crop space from the top to lose that small bit of tree. It can do with being a touch brighter, and with a little sharpening applied to all except the tree.

The presentation with the very heavy black frame doesnt work for me. Its a bright cheerful scene, much better complemented by the opposite of what youve done.

Ive uploaded a mod with all of the above, view large.

This image stands out a mile in the thumbnail mainly due to the excellence of the shot, but also due to it's striking presentation and it looks even more dramatic when viewed full size. Apart from removing the twigs at the top as Willie suggested, I wouldn't change a thing - sort of shot I have been trying to take for 45 years! Excellent.
