If you have a circular polarizer, it would be worthwhile trying it in scene like this.

The light is a bit harsh, with a slight glare, and the filter could help.

Two mods, haze reduced. daylight white balance.

I like how you brought out the background, what did you do?

I do like the way you have composed for the verticals in the landscape.

The colour doesn't quite say 'morning in a hot climate' for me, it's a bit flat. That minus exposure compensation affected all your shots here.

But the main change that I wanted to make was to get rid of those two bits of small cactus at the bottom of the frame. The spot healing brush tool dealt with those.

I added contrast, reduced blues, boosted yellows and reds - something that I very rarely do!

But for me, contrasty b&w conveys strong sun.

Two mods duly uploaded...

I like without the 2 cacti in the front. I will have to try that myself. Thank you all, the modifications have helped me so much.

I agree with Moira about the two part-cacti in the front, these simply act as distractions.
And I think Willie's modification warms things up nicely.

This is thoughtfully composed and you have the cacti nice and straight.
I'm glad they weren't all in bad condition.

Pamela.

I love how the editing brought out the hills in the background

Nothing to add - I can almost see Clint Eastwood riding down the hill. I like the way Moira's mod has brought out the cacti on the hillside.

For you, this may be everyday: to me, it's a film set!
