I like how you brought out the background, what did you do?
I do like the way you have composed for the verticals in the landscape.
The colour doesn't quite say 'morning in a hot climate' for me, it's a bit flat. That minus exposure compensation affected all your shots here.
But the main change that I wanted to make was to get rid of those two bits of small cactus at the bottom of the frame. The spot healing brush tool dealt with those.
I added contrast, reduced blues, boosted yellows and reds - something that I very rarely do!
But for me, contrasty b&w conveys strong sun.

I agree with Moira about the two part-cacti in the front, these simply act as distractions.
And I think Willie's modification warms things up nicely.
This is thoughtfully composed and you have the cacti nice and straight.
