Not sure if the pink goes with the 'moody' expression.......maybe a bit girlie soft.

Have a look at the modification - you may not like it...but then again - you might

Nice soft light but the point of focus appears to be your shoulder. At least, that's the sharpest part. For portraits it has to be the eyes that are pin sharp and yours look a little soft. Not much but enough.

Agree that for the style of shot here a darker and less obtrusive background would work better.

Thank you for all your encouragement again. I like Kaybee MOD and would like to know how you did it? I got a fill in flash yesterday so maybe something new soon. But PS I am still struggling with and slowly working through the guide. Ive done a MOD on 'mum inlaw' and will try and post that.

Sara....what I did was copy the picture onto another layer which I then added gaussian blur to (blur it so that you can see the outlines - how much blur alters how strong the effect is). After that I added a small amout of diffuse glow ('distort' filter). I then used the eraser to remove most of the effect from the eyes/mouth. I think I also used the 'dodge' tool set to 10% and midtone to lighten the whites of the eyes slightly.

It sounds more complex and longwinded than it is - it certainly took me less time to do than to type

Nice pic's, but i'd like to see pic's of you taken by someone else, i'm sure it would bring out more of that hidden charm.(Not sure if i'm supposed to say that.I'm new you see.)
