A bit of Silly Sunday Silliness! I was going through my old photo prints and came across this and realised it's never seen the light of day here on EPZ. Would have been taken around the mid-1980s, when I was a bit younger and going through the curly hair phase!
No, it's not a digital manipulation (being pre-digital, of course) but all done in-camera on film and on one frame. With the camera on my tripod, I used a semi-circular filter which blocks off half the image, and setting the self-timer before sitting at the table, took the first image. Rotating the filter to block off the other half, setting the self-timer again, used the multiple exposure button, to keep the film on the same frame before winding on, then went and sat at the other side of the table. A wide aperture helped in blending the two halves together. The join runs vertically through the centre of the backgammon board.
Not sure what camera was used, but would have been either Nikon FM or Nikon FE with a 50mm lens.
Many thanks to
