Meldon Quarry Yard

By DrewAnderson
Railway yard at Meldon Quarry Station, nr Okehampton on the north edge of Dartmoor.
I liked the 'hardness' of the scene and thought it suited a B/W conversion.

Good gritty industrial capture; nicely composed and full of interest.

I feel a CC trip is on the cards what an interesting place
Pete.....it's still in use, so may prove difficult. The train does run to the station, but I think only in high season. If it DOES still run, the platform is as close as you can get to the actual quarry yard. I took this by nipping over a wooden fence, then nipping out again when done !
