Melody Maker

By chase
An old Melodeon I borrowed from a work colleague, the mouth-organ belongs to my other half.
This instrument plays a wonderful tune.....if you press the right buttons ! Wink

Just trying to choose different subjects, slightly 'out of the ordinary' & see what I can do with them.
This Melodeon was a nightmare to capture, for a start it wouldn't stay 'open' & closed up with a nice Bflat every time...that's until I tied it together Wink...& the reflections from the lightbox on the red sides were dreadful.Still,a bit of patience later, shifting the lightbox around & this is what I came up with.I suspect it will make rather a nice print.

An HDR of 5 frames, combined & tonemapped in Photomatix.
Textures added in Photoshop on adjustment layers with different blending modes.

Thanks for dropping by........off to play a nice rousing Sea Shanty now Wink

Without those splashes of red this would have been delightful but way too subtle ..... but the red brings it alive and makes it sing.

Beautiful Janet, just beautiful. The mouth organ does bother me a bit though. I think it's too near the bottom & the angle's wrong. Would it look better tucked under the squeezebox at the same angle as the keyboard? Or am I just trying to beat Mr Nigglebritches at his own game? Smile
