An unusual memorial, Peter, well captured. Where was it taken? Carol

Maybe near 'Tossa', Carol.
Can't remember properly - covered quite a bit of that coast.

Looks like a fitting memorial to the terrifying chaos they must have faced dying at sea....

Well said, Colleen.

On a completely different matter, I have about six uploads in the last week or two which have achieved votes very near the 30 mark for which I'm grateful.
Do I get another medal if I go over 30?
If so, I'd better go and make some more photographic acquaintances - or take some better pictures!
Happy to be the 3rd vote.. Only 27 to go.. Great image Peter Grin

Do I change into a Prince when (if) it reaches 30?
Oh! - I am a Prince.
Perhaps I change into a frog.

A poignant reminder of those lost at sea and very fitting coming up to Remembrance Day.
reminds me of The Coffin Ship memorials in Ireland - remembering those who lost their lives
going to America after the Potato Famine.

You do not get a medal for 30 votes, rather a certificate that says Readers choice award....maybe you need to upload an image of yourself...us girls would love itWink

It's struggled to my normal 20 or so sympathy votes.
No Princes or Frogs this time.

I've uploaded a self portrait in the hope that will work.
(What does one do with a Readers Choice Certificate?).
