Merlin 70 Power ...

By sut68
Out of the 40+ remaining Spitfires flying today, PL965 is the sole representative of the PR.XI, the fastest of all Merlin powered Spitfires. Watching this majestic creation flying effortlessly around the sky is only surpassed by the deep throb of the Rolls Royce Merlin engine onboard her.

Taken on Sunday at the Southport Airshow.

Cheers for your time on this one and the previous offering.

Paul

PS: Told you I had a similar one Darren Wink

I was only talking about going to an air show the other day, as my last efforts a few years ago were pants. Unlike this.....which is rather good indeed Smile

Cheers Martin. I found the technique a bit easier on this occasion than previous attempts, partly due to the better focusing on the 7D. That said, I think better and more powerful glass will be the order of the day next time Smile

One I would be very happy with Paul. Good detail throughout, but it is the well lit detail inside the cockpit that is the icing on the cake.

Bloomin'eck mate ... a UA from you on 'your turf' is better than a letter from the queen. A real honour Neil, made my day Smile
