Merry-go-round

I try to take photographs that need minimal editing. However this image looks flat even with the bright colours. Ideas?

It is just a bit under exposed. When this is corrected it comes up nicely Wink Steve.

I have had a look at your horse and what I did was correct the under exposure in highlights then I adjusted the saturation with hue +7, saturation +35, lightness 0. and it looks impressive.
I hope this helps you.
Graham.

Thank you both for your quick reponses, I will try both methods. I cannot make up my mind if it requires some cropping because of the poles 'coming out the horse's head' and the piece of burnt out image on the left hand side.

The cropping does work and I think that it is well worth exploring and yes I would take out the burn part as it's distracting. I thought at first it was part of the ride.
