messing with light

By kibp
Just playing with the camera and a torch to see what i would end up with. Other than the stems of the flowers i am not keen on the shot, but had fun trying. Always happy for any tips and advice given. Thank you

Good image, but I see what you mean. The petals and main flowers seem to lack sharpness and are a bit noisy. I would recommend a tripod and longer exposure times, and there is nothing wrong with the torch as a light source you can acheive some great results with that set up, but for low light a tripod is a must.

Good luck

just beautiful
Quite a good shot, although it is a bit noisy. This however gives it some old film charm.

Not sure what size torch you used but a small pen torch can give a tighter spotlight effect which can provide dramatic depth.
And as SteveH1978 says a tripod is a must.
