You'd never find MP hiding in the undergrowth, though. Grin

Thank you both and yes Dave, he seems a better fit in his TV roles than as a politician! Do like his railway journeys though!

superb light and tones and now I know that Michael Portillo is the guy who designed the Easter Islands statues 😎

Definitely a head of our time, Kath. As a permanent feature it’s very………curious? I bet he drinks Yorkshire tea. I won’t say ‘strange’ as near where I lived in Dorset an older lady finally had her very overgrown garden cleared, and they found not one but two very moss-covered Reliant Robin cars!

Dave 🙂

No it's not Michael Portillo Kath, he's much taller than that!

Fallen out of an old train carriage probably, Kath.Smile
And I think this would qualify for a Halloween image. Yes, I know it's more to do with Easter Wink

He looks like he has a dagger stuck in his head. Poor thing. But at peace with it all.

Maybe not an exact likeness to Michael Portillo, but he looks good here, engulfed in all that foliage! 👍
Yes, I love to watch his railway journeys on TV, both in Britain and on the continent, and am watching the repeats on the 'Yesterday' channel... 🚄😃

There was a point when MP was in contention for leadership of his party. I had the feeling that he'd understood that they had to change direction, back to the centre. If I was right, it's a shame he didn't make it.

My daughter gave me a similar sculpture last Christmas. He sits across from the kitchen window... He hasn't got such a nice hat.

Thank you all and Michael says thank you too! Don't think he would be too happy in BW he is quite a colourful dresser! The dagger is a fern leaf Sandy 😅😂!

Think he is the old school Tory and not the new breed John. Must be a doppelganger you have in your garden!

Thank you for your award Rich!

Well captured, Kath. A great B/W conversion.

Thank you Pavan. I actually take quite a lot of images, including this one, in Mono. I usually just use contrast, shadow and highlight in processing.

A nice coincidence this picture, as the series about Portillo's walk along the coastal path in Devon and Cornwall is being broadcast now in Australia. So far it's way better than his railway travelogues. Bob
