Milarrochy Aurora

By Paul_Barr
I have been waiting for ages to take photos of the Aurora Borealis and have been using websites such as Space Weather to try and get out at the right times.

I was out last night taking sample shots for the International Dark Sky Association when I noticed a green glow on the horizon. I was dead chuffed when I realised it was the Northern Lights.

A check of websites showed that the Aurora was visible into England last night.
