Great shot Colin.
It may be worth opening a "Levels" layer and just below the graph there are 3 sliders. Move the one on the right to the left where the empty space is. Now bring the one on the left to the right a little. Just ideas...
The graph will appear in the "Properties" window. If you don't see this go up to the "Window" on the main menu at the top and click. From the dropdown list your find Properties just click on the left side to bring it up.
