Something a bit different for me - a bit of architecture. Spotted this roofline against the mid-day sun whilst standing in a que at the Scarborough Sealife centre. Metered for the sky and did a bit of work in CS3 to increase the impact.

Not sure, now I've done it - so do your worst.

I rather like this - it has potential. Smile The stark lines of the building contrast with the soft fluffy clouds and I feel this is an aspect which could be brought out more.

The image is near B/W anyway, and I think could benefit from being converted to B/W. I suggest the sky and the building then be treated separately (i.e. selectively). In the mod I have uploaded for you I have adjusted the sky using levels and then adjusted the building using the PS shadows/highlights tool.

Hope that helps.

Not you to be chicken, Frank - If I deserve it, give me it! Yes, the mod works - there seems to be even more impact due to the greater separation in contrast., could see there was something there at the time of taking, but this isn't normally what I do, and we are never too old to learn.

I love this one, I like the lines.I'm not sure about B&W. B&W, I lost the feeling of deep blue sky and the sun..I don't know about the technical matters, but I do like the sun's reflection on the glass with colours on it...
