Mods in Lightroom

By GeorgeP
How do you organize and make initial edits to your digital images? I have been using Lightroom since it was first issued. I also use a few plugins – but usually only if they are cheap, or better, free. GrinGrin One of my favorites is LR/Mogrify 2. This has been around since Lightroom was first released and is a post-process tool. With it, I can embellish images as they are exported as JPGs. It lets me add outer and/or inner borders, watermarks and text annotations. Like most tools, I don't use it all the time, but when required, it fits the need perfectly. Equally important, I can use it on the fly for multiple images without having to load each file into Photoshop or other program. This shot of some pretty weeds is an example.

These weeds are in my neighbour’s grass. I suspect any seeds that blow onto my grass are collateral damage in my chemical warfare against Dollar Weed. They make a colourful shot, even with a wide-angle lens (because I forgot my 105mm macro Blush ).

Ever since I went digital back in 2002, I've used Photoshop Elements, as the camera came with Elements 2 for free! I've always stuck with that, upgrading 3 times over the years, and currently use Elements 14. It comes with an Organiser, so makes cataloguing the thousands of images I've accumulated easy. I downloaded the Nik Collection of plugins when they became free, and like Viveza 2 which does a great job of bringing out detail.
These are very lovely 'weeds' George, and it's an excellent presentation of them 👍

Whatever you used, the flowers are beautifully presented-- the text helps to ID these lovely weeds and the border acts as a period. saying--- the image ends here--rather like a basket!
