The lead shows the car that most people think of as definitively Fifties/Sixties: my own feeling is that as soon as the Morris arrived, the Beetle was utterly outdated by superior speed, handling and space - not to mention civilisation!

My first car a 2 Door Morris Minor 1000 in 1965, I often wish I still had it, it was very good on fuel could always get about 40 plus mpg in those days petrol at just over 5 shillings a gallon, that would be about 6p a litre.
