Taken on the River Orwell near where I frequently take the kids on walks.
I've seen this sort of scene a few times and have been waiting for the conditions to capture it just right. I'm not sure I've done it justice as this is my first foray into the world of panoramas. A stitch of 5 x 35 second exposures as the sun is setting might not have been the best idea. Well, I like the colours and tones which reflect the evening but I'm still left a little unsatisfied. I'm sure you'll let me know

. Anyway, practice makes......
On another note, just thought I'd share that I've just found out I've won the Ipswich and District Photography Society's Cup for this year for a slightly retouched and tidied up version of
On a Dark and Stormy Night and got top marks for
Harwich Lighthouse in a regional inter-club competition which put us in 2nd place. And I only joined as a beginner in December, pretty chuffed is all I can say.
Have a good weekend,
Barney
