I prefer the colour version but it must have been hard to take this image in lighting contrasts. So well processed.

Mono, definitely. It merges the 'normal' with the downright weird. Normality is a very flexible concept...

And i agree with you, i also like the mono best. But as you se over here, it is always some that dont have the same taste.

The b&w version has more meaning, is more in tune with the painting subject. It deserves to be dark and threatening.
I like both images, but like the colour version a little better.

Love both of them, the mono version is fascinating with its dark mood and the intense shadow play.
The color version has lovely tones and a warm light.
I see the dualism between light and darkness, there's beauty in both and you captured it

It was actually a bit difficult to get the right exposure here. A big contrast between the light in the roms. But i am happy with the result

I like the angles taking the eye from the foreground picture to the background the soft lighting makes the whole thing very atmospheric and intriguing
