Monday Night Challenge

By rhody
It’s 20:00 on a Monday again so it’s time for the famous and brilliant epz Monday Night One Hour Challenge.

The theme tonight is ….

Any image you like as long as it contains water – splash, spray, drops, mist, blurred, frozen, moving, fizzy, coloured, reflections, patterns, abstract, ripples, bubbles – whatever you like as long as there is water in some form in the image.

Water does not have to dominate the image – it just has to be part of the image.

How much or how little you include is entirely up to your creative choices.

Let your mind go free and be as creative as you wish.

Most importantly - Have fun!

The rules:

1. The photo must be taken, processed and uploaded before 21.00 (one hour).
2. The challenge is started in the main gallery and the gallery description box states what the challenge is. You enter the challenge by uploading your picture as a 'modification' to the challenge announcement.
3. Any image that appears to have been taken before the competition started will be disqualified.
4. Any submission posted after the 'Time's Up' image is uploaded will also be disqualified.
5. The challenge was originally just for fun but now with great prizes courtesy of Photoskill!
6. The person who hosts is the judge for that week.
7. The winner gets to create, run and judge the challenge the following week

Sorry for the delay - huge problems uploading tonight.

Thanks to everyone for taking part - all the images are great and very interesting in how the theme has been interpreted and presented to us.

Jonah – Splash – super choice of colours, freezing action, reflections and careful lighting

Bazza21 – very creative and eye catching – love the description, image and framing

GPTek – nice idea – a watery self portrait – good capture – great fun image

Tatkinson – great work – really like the colours, selective focusing, lighting and composition

Slimey – birds eye view of drip – really unusual – great angle and perspective. Superb detail on the droplet

GPTek – the Aussie overflow - great idea, lateral thinking and abstract – if only I could have a glass of Stella that never overflowed and never needed refilling either....................

Big Rick – garden pond – I really like the water washing around the stone – good movement in the image

Lynx08 – Water, oil and vinegar – super colours, abstract and perspective

Eviscera – Bio-Hazard – great detail in the image and very though provoking. Superb control of lighting. This plug hole looks as though toxic waste drains away through it – great work

Cirrusminor – Energy –Highly unusual and has got me baffled

U4ea – Corona – included because of the upload issues and delays - oh, the Corona colour brings back memories – great perspective

And the winner is tatkinson1983 for the superb droplets on a table.

Everyone else is joint second for many and varied reasons in that there is something for everyone in such a wide variety of super images from you all.
