Well captured and presented image. Full of interest, especially like the contrast in architecture. UA

This is more likely to be the dome of the Christian church. Smile
Excellent B&W image.

Have just checked and these are, I think, the minarets on top of the Alexander Nevsky cathedral in Tallinn...a Russian Orthodox church 😀

Jesus! Minarets, are towers built next to mosques to call Muslims for praying. This is a Christian church signified by a cross for a religion that preceded Islam and subsequently its architecture. These are steeples, with bells inside; they happen to have a pointed dome, but you can't call them minarets. You can call this picture good though, I do.

You may have a point... Wikipedia (always true!!!?) states :- The base of the building is Finnish granite. In the five onion domes, gilded iron crosses are seen. Inside are three gilded, carved wooden iconostases, along with four icon boxes.

But do you know your Onions? 😂😂😂

Stunning shot of those 'onions' Jeff!! Grin I tend to agree with above, that minarets are on mosques, these are more Christian church towers. Still a super image though! Smile

Had to come see what you meant about yesterdays image. It is fabulous and very deserving of all the awards. Might as well have one more Jeff.
