Mont Miné stands adjacent to the Mont Miné Glacier and to nearby Dent Blanche (a mountain in the Pennine Alps) which at 4,357 metres (14,295 ft) is one of the highest peaks in the Alps. The south-west face rises above the Manzettes Glacier which is part of the Ferpècle Glacier to the right of this photograph. The region around Dent Blanche (just to the left and out of shot) consists of many 4000 metres peaks. The Ober Gabelhorn (to the west), Dent d'Hérens and Matterhorn (south) are the closest high peaks.
