We don't come across many moon images, and when the quality is this good it would be great to see many more.

300mm is OK but 500m or above is better, try a 1.5x, 1.7x or even a 2x teleconverter (depending on the maxiumum aperture of your lens). Have a look at my recent Moon image which was taken with a 300mm + 1.7x TC and then cropped slightly.

Its quite good for what you had at your disposal.

Since you have a crop factor APS-C sensor, at 300mm the equivalent in 35mm terms is 450mm. So using TeleConverter will multiply 450mm by the TC factor, so a 1.5TC will give you 675mm.

Quick mod, - a little sharper, - but size is what matters most with these shots. You can crop this closer, - theres decent quality there that allows tou to make it larger by cropping, and sharpening.
