Moonlight Serenade

By MrsS
Hi All - Happy Sunday! The good news is that in two weeks time, Christmas will be a distant memory and the shops will have returned to "normal" ready for the sales!!!

Anyway, on a brighter note - here is THE VERY FIRST IMAGE that I took in anger with my new camera & lens.

When we arrived at LLanddwyn, the Boss already had his spot sorted, and I kinda like this area, so I toddled off on my own. It was really dark (apart from the moonlight) and I couldn't see where anything went on the piccy box, and just had my head-torch to come to my aid(which is about as good as the proverbial chocolate teapot for close-up work).

Consequently, much swearing and muttering about a "d@mn stupid thing" (or words to that effect) ensued, followed by a hasty call to the Boss for help.

I did eventually get things sorted, good job too, as I really liked the way the moon was lighting up the lighthouse and rocks.

As for the serenade bit, it was probably a good job there was no-one around to hear my wailings, as several words are not able to be repeated here! Wink

Right, off to finish the Chrissie decs, and to have a glass or two of the red stuff, in between tending to my poorly little girl, who is suffering with pleurisy (all say ahhhhhhh!) Smile

Thanks for calling in, have a great evening.

Fran x

Love the depth of colour here Fran, your swear words obviously worked Wink
Just a tad of haloing around the tops of the cliffs on my monitor though...much more evident in the larger view Sad

Hope your daughter is soon on the mend.

A nice quiet soft colours image with the long exposure adding the serenade, nice work with a new and wonderful camera. You'll never look back now.
