This is a scene I have photographed on many occasions, usually in Winter for an early morning sunrise. The night before I took this photograph I noticed the moon was rising right over Carlingford Lough and though of this location to try and capture it. The next night I made my way to the Flagstaff Viewpoint just before the moon rose at 8:40pm. It wasn't visable until about 45 minutes later when it was well up over the Bay. This wasn't so bad as there was still some dusk daylight about to give some nice colour and detail to the landscape just as the lights came on over Warrenpoint in the distance.
