This is 'Trademark' Tom Mason in mid-air. He was standing on the ropes in the corner, and jumped backwards. He's heading down to land on the other bloke...

While profesional wrestling is 'faked' it requires a lot of fitness, strength, and skill. Not to mention a certain pain tolerance...

There appear to be three wrestlers involved - now that's something I haven't come across!

Tag match... There are often additional bodies strewn around the ring...

Beautiful photo. I knew the "Kalahari Boerbul" personally, and his strength was amazing and awesome. He could wring water from his own hand, like a tap, by clenching it in an extreme one handed grip. It was his famous party trick. He wrestled in the days of Jan Wilkins, who was the World Champion in the late 1960`s. Although not blessed with a plethora of brains, he was a most pleasant and gentle chap. He used to wrestle down bulls for practice, on his stockfarm in the Kalahari. In those days, the wrestling was intense and serious, and the guys went all out to win. There was none of the "American showmanship" involved, as that only came later, in the 1980`s. Sadly, he died of cancer later on. Regards Martin

never been a fan of this fake wrestling.. like the real thing.. and I have gradually grown interested in the real wrestling and boxing.. that we see in olympics etc.. In boxing, I love the way they sometimes cling to one other, fall on one other.. there is still such professionalism and cool temper.. it is almost like warmth.. one man knows that he has to knock down the other.. and yet, it almost seems they are brothers..

In this "sport" there is an extraordinary rate of long term injuries. Hard to watch. Mand a grey action photo John.
