All good but V1 really stands out for me, wonderful sharp detail and so colourful.

As above the three images are grand v1 however just has the edge with the presentation, I also wondered about the rope, so forgive me but I cloned it out ! Thanks for sharing Colin

It was just a wee play as opposed to a critique difference, the rope pulling the opposite way of the boat works too.... Al tells me your a buddy of his .... your building a fine PF Colin

Been taking pictures since then too, first camera was a Zenit E, still have it somewhere Smile

I know what I want to take, just don't always get it, if you know what I mean Smile

Of it's type - excellent. My problem is twofold, and both are very negotiable. One is the rope- I think it may be better without it. The other is the subject matter, which I find lacking in interest - but that really is a personnal comment.

For me, such images need dramatic conditions and/or lighting to stand out from a host which all look similar.

I like v1 - the boat is nice and sharp from front to back - but I do think you need a bit more space at the bottom of the frame, like v2.

I take your point, but we don't always get what we want on a wet cold winters day. The light did get quite dramatic over the sea eventualy, but I would have needed to move the boat or the harbour wall to make the best of it.

Colin uploaded a version without the rope and I did like that, but it makes it a different picture altogether.. Personal taste I suppose.
