Moored Within A Dream

By sherlob
Thanks for the V&C's on my last upload. And an especial thank you to Consulo for his UA.

Todays image is taken using the lo-fi technique - deliberate camera movement. In this case the image was handheld using a shutter speed 1/6th sec and vertical movement.

These images are what I term marmite images - you either love them or hate them. For me DCM, along with other lo-fi techniques can be a fabulously effective way of communicating things that straight images can not seem to deliver - although the visualisation process is more experimental than deliberate. For me this image has resulted in a dream like quality - but it also resonates a sense of spirituality. Choose to disagree - thats fine. We all take away something different when we view images (thats part of the fun isn't it?).

It reminds me somewhat of the skies in Turner's paintings. I like it as an image, and it would also make a great textured layer.SmileSmile
