Moorland Detail

By Consulo
I fear this may sink like the proverbial, but here's a detail shot of some moorland I was passing through. The fronds of pale grasses pocked through the darker moorland spoke of a shot that might look interesting in B&W, so I shot it. The image has had some gentle toning applied to it after converting it to B&W.

Thanks for looking,
Michael.

I like the idea. I think I'd be looking for a square composition out of the subject, but that's how I see things.

That's an interesting idea.

I stuck primarily with a straight-out-the-camera crop as it was what best suited this particular bunch of grasses.

I like the diagonal run of the grasses in this. I know what you saw here, as I've tried unsuccessfully to get a good image of some mexican feather grass blowing in the breeze - the sun was hitting them so nicely too.
So, memory evoked, thanks for that.
