Moorland overflow

By longhoss
Overflow of the moorland water on Thorne Moor
The area was used for extensive peat extraction it is now part of the Humberhead Peatlands national nature reserve
The water level is controlled by various piled dams and pipe work as part of the improvement of the area and attempts to return the area to its natural peatbog state
