Moorland Track

Taken last weekend in Bransdale near Kirkbymoorside we were staying on a farm near by & went for a drive to see the heather, but we should have gone a little early in the month because some had started to go over still very nice to see

Tech 1/20sec, f13, ISO 100 used ND grad & polarizer filters on tripod

Lovely shot Glynnis..I am looking at horizons very carefully and yours is dead straight.I think I must have crooked eyes as most of mine are wonky! This looks a very beautiful place.

Composition in pinks and greens. Nice lead-in, sweeping open spaces beyond. Not a car or a building or a human being in sight. This is why we stayed up North...

Our heathers are blooming in the New Forest, too, and I love this because it's so exactly how they look with their soft beauty.

Heather always looks beautiful at it's best. Looks to me like a living carpet. Great shot, it just goes on for miles.

Large is a must - totally different mood when seen large. I just love these hills when heather starts blooming. Great shot Glynnis.
