As always your photo is a delight to the eyes after staring at statute books all day. The thing I like about this one is the way the sun has created an arc of warm light emitting upwards and reflected nicely on the water. I don't think I've seen this before. The washed out thing isn't really a problem for me..it's always nice to see the sun in different ways.
My only (small) criticism is the speck just above the sun (a bird??). It's not really needed I don't think.

I have to agree, this photo is great with or without the frame, I like the diagonal lines and composition but its the sky that really gets me - like in all your photos!! Incredible stuff! Would love to visit there.

Thanks all. Ewan, thanks for your lovely comments, please don't worry about the mail, just whenever you've time. Aberdeen beach is a beautiful place to take pictures, specially early morning... and the added bonus of coffee and freshly baked scones in The Pavillion Cafe gets me out of bed on these cold mornings!! Hopefully no snow this weekend... have a good one!

beautiful image - i love the colours and the reflection.
the frame works really well to - when i do frames i put a single pixel white line round the inside of the frame which helps define the edge in the darker areas of the photograph.
