More experiments...................1854

By HobbitDave
A few more shots using Angenieux 25mm f1.4 on micro 4/3 Lumix G2 using a c-mount cine lens adapter. Focusing can be a little tricky, and being a prime lens youve gotta be standing in the right place to get everything in the picture, but i can see why these lenses have a cult following on digital cameras. When you get it right they are pin sharp. Boys and toys perhaps, but its helping recycle the old 1960s and earlier 16mm cine lenses 🙂

The 1854 cottage was a Post Office until about 10 years ago.

(Due to 2x crop factor on a Lumix G2, 25mm lens is acting as 50mm prime. Handy 🐝 )

What are the 2 big green X's for?

Black Xs, Christina? To stop the house falling down! There is a central metal rod which crosses the inside of the house and meets another pair of xs at the back of the house. They stop the walls from bowing if theyve started to bulge outwards. Mostly found on old stone cottages of the 19th century or earler. They work very well! 🦋

Think Christina needs to calibrate the colours on her screen, those X's are definitely black!!! 😁 There's nowt wrong with the quality of these and your lens, Dave - have to go for the lead as my fave... 👍😉
