Morning Catch

By Dave_Henderson
Whilst at the shore this morning in some glorious light, I spotted a trawler on it's way out of harbour.I quickly had to position my gear to be able to catch the scene as the boat passed by.It was not until viewing the image at home that I noticed the splash of a wave against the rocks......lucky.

Might not have been planned but the timing was excellent, you can really feel the power of the wave.

As others have said a really great capture and must have been wonderful to have found out that you had such a sight caught!
My only niggle is - infact - the boat - it might be different fullsized but how it looks here it just looks like a little rectangle of colours - something I would be tempted to crop out to focus all attention on the crashing wave.

Great lighting and a really interesting sight!

Great colour and light and like the way the rocks lead in ... agree with Overread that the trawler adds very little IMO. Still an image I'd be proud to have in my portfolio. Regards Dave
