LOL @ Jules, YUM indeed!

My only comment (and this is really really mean and doesn't kill the image in any way whatsoever!!) is that the horizon is not on a third. I know that it's difficult when you want to get the reflection of the tree in the water

Nope, on second thoughts (and after a discussion with my wife) just ignore me and my gibberings above.

The thirds are there, the bank starts on the bottom right third and leads into the picture beautifully.

Beautiful serene scene, extremely well captured. I like the way the warm sunlit area disappears off into the cold misty distance and that graduated sky.

Thank you to everyone for your great comments. Wow Jules I'm dead chuffed to receive one of your yum awards.
Thank you Mrs C for sorting your other half out. I must confess I do tend to forget my 3rds rule when I am excited about a photograph but I am trying quite hard to remember it now days (this is somthing I have taken on board from EPZ)

Kin thank you I have just noticed your version of my pic I like the blues. I took this same picture with the same filters but a different wb setting which gave it a more blue tinge I have uploaded so you can see the difference.

Kate, this is stunning, and those third rules should be ignored on a photo of such high quality (I do) Big CLICK,

Very nice. Great detail fading back to softness further in... it really draws you into the shot.

I would clone out the bits of floating grass at the very leading edge of the shot though.

High quality image, the light is perfect for the scene. The weather forcasters in Wales have said that this wall to wall fog and dense mist will soon go. To be replaced by wind and rain. Such is life.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Oh, and rules are there to be broken - if a shot works, it works regardless of how you composed it.
