All this weekend it's the Wakefield Rhubarb Festival which is held in February each year in the city centre. Around the Cathedral area, there are lots of stalls selling a variety of food items and drinks, many using rhubarb as an ingredient, as well as stalls selling takeaway snacks and drinks. Around all the stalls it was heaving with lots of people about, and I've never seen it as busy as it is this year. I'd liked to have captured some images of the stalls and their goodies, but there were just too many shoppers in the way. After taking my piccies I did buy and bring home some rhubarb flavoured cheese, and some rhubarb beer! 🧀🍺😋
There's always some entertainment going off, like these Morris Dancers, though this year it does seem to be lacking other entertainers. There were other Morris Dancers, and the musicians accompanying them, which I'll upload later.
