Never seen one like this before, it changes from dull brownish and beige colors I see usually. When it spreads its wings, itīs showing bright crimson red! Unfortunately missed that. Sad

Looks like it - you can see a small bit at its end - but when spreading, it looks more like an extension to what we see here and its really a big show between these two wings in our perception (my wife spotted it in fact, she missed it with her LX3 as well). You know the animal?

good pic, i had one exactly like this in my house, when it opens it's wings it,s bright red, really pretty moth!

A Jersey Tiger moth! They are very beautiful - quite a stunning sight when they are flying! You've caught it beautifully.

Yes, that red color is really very impressive when it flies around, but I couldnīt get a focus on it before it went out again. Wink
