Mount Fuji

By hobbs
Taken back in 2017, on our first trip to Japan. We had picked our campervan in the morning and headed for Fuji hoping to get there for sunset; unfortunately, we took a wrong turn on the edge of Tokyo and instead of driving around the outside we ended up driving straight through the middle. We finally made it to the rest area where we would be spending the night an hour after sunset, as we were cooking tea, we noticed the fog coming into the valley below. We were lucky on a couple of counts firstly we got a shot without any cloud around fuji it's self, and, secondly, there was no snow on the top. A lot of visitors to Japan don't get to see Mount Fuji due to cloud, we have been lucky on both our trips to of seen it cloud-free and hopefully we will when we next go back.

Great image of Mount Fuji there, is actually nice to see it done differently.
I was supposed to be flying to Japan at the weekend, which for obvious reasons is now cancelled, so hopefully next year, and hopefully Fuji will have its snow on!

Thank you, so sorry to hear your trips been affected, mind it's well worth the wait.
