Mournes River

By mcsimeyb
I took this one today. I spotted the scene as I was driving along and nearly caused a pile up as I screeched to a halt to jump out and take a pic!
I used warm up an ND filters to add a bit of colour and keep cloud detail. In PS I've added a layer to lighten the foreground and burnt in the sky a tiny bit. I don't know though - I'm still not entirely happy with it and I can't put my finger on the reason. It might be the colours but I think I've been staring at it too long now to be objective! Maybe some of you kind folk could tell me what you think?

Thanks for looking
Simon

I think you've done a great job on this shot Simon. Definitely gets a 'Click' from me.

Great shot - what's wrong? Sky a bit yellow?

you have done everything right in this capture and have lovely detail and composition but have just been unlucky with the quality of light at the time

Thanks everybody. Skye, I think you have solved my problem. The pic seems a bit flat and the colours aren't "punchy" enough. Possibly caused by the way I took it or touched it up in PS but I'll take the easy way out and balme it on the quality of the light as you suggest!

Looks okay to me! I think you have done the best you could with the poor light.
